Engine Accumulator Setup

Settings > Engine Diagnostics > Engine Accumulator Setup

PREREQUISITE: Companies must have Engine Diagnostics licensing to use this screen.
PREREQUISITE: You must have more than one (1) Custom Event set up to add an accumulator.

Accumulators create calculated quantities based on custom events. Setting up an accumulator allows an administrator to specify a starting and ending eventEngine data recorded by TrackIt that includes fault codes and driver behaviors like hard braking. that triggers when an accumulator should add up values being measured against. The accumulator then totals the tracked engine data based on the accumulation type chosen, such as Time and Count.

The associated events should be reflective of the engine data being accumulated. For example, a company would count occurrences of hard braking that start with a hard breaking custom event, but reset when a hard acceleration custom event is triggered.

Name

Assigns a name or label to the accumulator, typically indicative of its purpose.

Accumulate

Defines which metric to measure against during the triggering event.

Change in value

Measures the total change in value detected during the triggered event.

If a driver was speeding, this would detect how many miles over the speed limit TrackIt measured.

Time

Measures the total time the event is true before the Reset Event occurs.

Count

Measures the total number of occurrences accumulated during the Run Event.

Count per Time

Measures the total number of occurrences triggered within a specific duration.

Run Event

The Custom Event that triggers when to start accumulating.

Reset Event

The Custom Event that triggers when to restart accumulating. This stops the current accumulation amount and restarts at 0.
