TrackIt Device Settings

Settings > Site Settings > TrackIt Device Settings

These settings control data interactions between the TrackIt server and apps like TrackIt Android.

GPS Update Time

Sets how often the device synchronizes its time of day settings with the GPS fixCoordinates for a vehicle's location. These are fetched by TrackIt at regular intervals to map equipment routes over the course of a day..

GPS Fix Interval (8.0.2+ phone code)

Sets how often the TrackIt Android app should receive GPS location fixes to TrackIt in seconds.

GPS Transmission Interval (8.0.2+ phone code)

Sets how long the device may operate without sending or receiving GPS transmissions.

MSG Update Time

Sets the interval for how often the device queries with TrackIt to send or receives messagesText messages exchanged between drivers and dispatchers using TrackIt..

Login Default

Determines what fields display from the TrackIt Android login screen. When Vehicle/Employee is selected, the device user must provide both the Employee # and Equipment # to log in.

Phone Font (i355)

Sets the font size to use on VMx devices.

Phone Debug

Defines how to handle debug messages with reporting.

Device Movement Speed (MPH/KPH - No decimal places)

Specifies the speed a vehicle must achieve or exceed before it is considered moving by TrackIt.

Do not use decimals places.

Device Movement On Delay (Seconds)

Specifies the total time in seconds that a vehicle must be detected as moving before it is considered moving by TrackIt.

Device Movement Off Delay (Seconds)

Specifies the total time in seconds that a vehicle must be detected as stationary before it is considered stopped by TrackIt.

Device Movement Show Messages to Driver When Moving

Displays or hides messages on a driver's tablet while a vehicle is considered moving.

Navigation App

Sets the default navigation app to use on the device.

If set to Default, each driver may decide which app they want to use on their tablet. Should a driver not set their own default navigation app, TrackIt automatically uses the Sygic app if installed. If Sygic isn't installed on the device, TrackIt will then try to use Google Maps. If neither app is installed on the tablet, drivers will receive the error, Navigation app not found.

If an app is selected here, then the driver must use that app.

Device Beep Frequency (Seconds)

Sets the duration of each audible beep when one occurs on the device.

Battery Temperature Threshold (in Celsius)

Specifies the battery temperature threshold in Celsius that will force a device to immediately shut down.

Battery Temperature Duration (in seconds)

Specifies the required duration in seconds that must elapse before the Battery Temperature Threshold setting forces a device to shut down.

Device TCP Only

Restricts the device to only allow connections using TCP/IP.

Device Reboot on Audio Crash
