Verify OBC Functionality

The OBC317 LED light blinks at different intervals to indicate whether or not it can connect to TrackIt. If the LED is solid and not blinking, it has successfully connected to TrackIt and is working properly.

The following describes the OBC LED codes.

1 blink Connecting to TrackIt
2 blinks

Cannot connect to TrackIt over the data network

This is common if simply taking a long time to connect. Let it run for a few minutes before researching the problem.

3 blinks

Authentication Error

This occurs most often when the OBC can connect to TrackIt over the data network, but the device has not been added to TrackIt Web Console. Go to Settings > Tracking Devices in TrackIt Web Console to add the OBC device. Verify that the serial number fro the OBC is entered correctly in TrackIt Web Console.

4 blinks

Login Error

This occurs most often when the OBC is not yet assigned to a vehicle. Go to Settings > Tracking Devices in TrackIt Web Console to add the OBC device and assign it to a vehicle.

5 blinks

Device Failure

 
No LED light means the device is not on. It is either not connected to power, has a bad connection somewhere, or the vehicle battery is dead.
