Command Alkon’s TrackIt Android solution allows users to harness the core functions of TrackIt on popular, low-cost smartphones and tablets. Because customers can “bring their own device” (BYOD), users can decide which device works best for their needs. Configuring them for use with the TrackIt Android application is a straightforward process that entails the same steps, no matter the device.
This guide provides the following information:
- Android phone/tablet requirements. This contains information regarding the required minimum operating system, additional software, and supported devices.
- Specific configurations that must be made from the TrackIt Web Console. All devices must be manually added to TrackIt so that the device will connect to the server when TrackIt Android launches.
- Additional phone settings to allow the install of TrackIt Android. Each device must be set up to allow third-party applications, among other configurations.
- TrackIt application(s) installation. These steps outline how to install each necessary application for running TrackIt and additional functionality.
