In the grid  view, statuses in the loop display as individual columns that show how long a vehicle spent in that statusThe specific activity or task a driver is currently engaged in, typically as part of a process called a "status loop.". In the list  view, equipment appears simply with alerts, current status, and time spent in that status.

Equipment rollover buttons and equipment rollover formats may be customized from the Hotspot/Map tab of Site Settings.

Forcing the Last Load status

The Last LoadThe total amount of concrete or asphalt that is being or has been batched for delivery. status forces drivers to log out of the TrackIt Android app automatically after the employeeUser accounts for drivers, dispatchers, and other staff to perform varying functions in TrackIt. reaches a predefined status and a specified amount of time has passed. The desired status and time limits are specified on the Equipment Type screen. Equipment with this flag display the Equipment Last Load icon icon next to the Equipment # on the Equipment Map dialog windowA pop-up window that requires user input. of the Equipment MapA map view that tracks the locations and statuses of individual equipment in a fleet. Turning this feature on helps dispatchers prevent drivers from mistakenly taking additional loads or wasting additional time before logging out.

Equipment

The equipment to flag for last load status may be narrowed according to specific criteria. You may further target equipment based on the following filters by clicking the Modify button.

Deselected radio button All Equipment

All equipment with drivers logged in are targeted.
Selected radio button

Specific Equipment

Individual vehicles may be targeted based on a per-vehicle basis. This is selected by default.
Deselected radio button

Equipment Type

All vehicles of the selected Equipment Type are targeted.
Deselected radio button

Equipment Group

All vehicles of the selected Equipment Group are targeted.

Vehicle Plant

All vehicles assigned to the selected Plant are targeted.

Last Load

Upon clicking the Save button, all equipment filtered against from this dialog window will either be flagged for or removed from the Last Load status.

The status flag is applied to all equipment selected.

The status flag is removed from all equipment selected.

Send "Last Load" Message to Driver

Drivers flagged with this status may be alerted by a system messageText messages exchanged between drivers and dispatchers using TrackIt. that informs them of the change.

Immediately forces the driver into the Last Load status.

The next time the driver reaches a status that precedes the Last Load status, such as At Plant, then when they change statuses they'll instead go to the Last Load status.
  1. If you're using the Equipment Dispatch screen:
    1. Click the Last Load Last Load status button button. Then continue to step #3.
  2. If you're using the Equipment Map screen:
    1. Pick a vehicle by clicking on the equipment's Concrete truck map icon icon. The vehicle rollover dialog window appears.
    2. From the rollover action list, click the LAST LOAD LAST LOAD rollover button button.
    If this action is not present on the rollover list, you may add it via the Dispatch Vehicle Rollover option on the Site Settings screen.
  3. On the Last Load dialog window, enable and set the options as needed.
  4. Click Save Save button.

Sending a message

Communication between dispatchers and drivers is possible using the Send Message SEND MESSAGE button button from this screen. Canned options available here are set from the Messages screen.

Message Type/Message

Drivers may receive messagesText messages exchanged between drivers and dispatchers using TrackIt. that require different types of interactions. Based on the information you need to convey or receive, the following options are available.

Text

A text field allows you enter a message "free style" and requires no selected response.

Canned

Any predefined message created from the Messages screen may be selected and sent. These cannot be altered from their original form.

Question

Similar to the Text option, you may enter a text message here along with a range of accepted responses that the driver must submit to consider the message acknowledged. The types of answers allowed may be selected from the following:

  • Numeric. The driver must enter a simple numeric response.
  • Yes/No. The driver may select a  Yes or No response.
  • Test. The driver must manually enter a text response.
  • List. The driver may select from multiple responses.

Try the tutorial

  1. If you're using the Equipment Dispatch screen:
    1. Click the Send Message SEND MESSAGE button button. Then continue to step #3.
  2. If you're using the Equipment Map screen:
    1. Pick a vehicle by clicking on the equipment's Concrete truck map icon icon. The vehicle rollover dialog window appears.
