Cable connections
Each probeA probe device mounted in the side of a bin to measure the moisture content of aggregate materials such as sand. system comes with five (5) cables:
- CBL044: Fused cable to connect directly on battery terminals
- CBL045: Splitter cable
- CBL040: Power cable for the display (connects to one end of CBL045 splitter cable)
- CBL041: Charging cable for the probe (temporary cable used to recharge the probe manually and connects to the port on the control unit housing)
- CBL042: OBC cable (this cable is not needed if an EDC setup is in use)
Battery
The battery cable (CBL044) has one end with two eyelet terminals (one black and one red) which must be connected to the truckAll machines used as a means of production on a construction site or at a batch plant. battery. The other end connects to the ‘Y’ splitter (CBL045) that acts as a junction in case the batteries must be charged using a cable. Electrical tape should be applied to the connection between CBL044 and CBL045.
Display
The display must be connected to a continuous DC power source ranging from 12 to 36 volts. The best way to power the display is directly from the battery. Make sure to use a 3A fuse and proper connector to get a reliable connection and avoid corrosion.
The SAE end of the display power cable (CBL040) should be connected to one end of the splitter cable (CBL045). The power cable for the display (CBL040) with a circular connector should be connected to the top-right port on the display.
Charger cable
When or if required, the temporary probe charging cable (CBL041) should be connected to the end of the splitter cable (CBL045) that is not used. This cable (CBL041) is used to recharge the probe’s battery when conditions do not allow the solar panel to maintain the charge of the probe’s battery (e.g., if a truck is parked in a garage on a regular basis).
When the charger cable for the probe is not used, it must be stowed away and a protective cap should be put on the free end of the splitter cable (CBL045). We recommend placement behind driver’s seat.
OBC
The OBC cable (CBL042) should be connected to the bottom left port of the display.
If you're using an EDC setup in place of the OBC, no physical cable is required to ensure a connection. This takes place via Bluetooth.
You're done setting up your COMMANDassurance Probe for use. Good job! |
